When Tori was diagnosed with ATRT at 9mo old, the doctors initially thought her best option was going to be to take her home and make her comfortable. They told us she was most likely not going to see her first birthday. 

Two days later, we were given a miracle and her surgeon was successful in a complete tumor resection; when all he was really going for was a biopsy. 

We do not take any day with her for granted and are so thankful to be able to have her in our arms!

Update Dec 30, 2022 - Tori's 8th Birthday

As far as treatment goes, she is doing great. She has just recently been able to come off of her seizure medicine, is finally catching up on the growth chart and scans remain NED!

Update Dec 30, 2024 - Tori's 10th Birthday

Tori is doing great! We can’t believe she is 10!  Her health remains stable, with all scans showing no evidence of disease. We are managing some of the neurological deficits that were identified last year. Tori continues to be a fighter in everything she does and we are so grateful for the wonderful doctors, teachers, and therapists who work with her so she can be the very best version of her!!
